Mikko Hietanen to be Rautaruukki's CFO

Rautaruukki Oyj Stock Exchange Release 4 December 2003 at 3 pm

Mikko Hietanen has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at Rautaruukki
Group. He will take up the position by 28 February 2004. Hietanen has
previously served as CFO at Stonesoft Oyj, Metsä-Tissue Oyj, Elcoteq Oyj
and Lohja Oyj. At Rautaruukki he will report to the Group's President and
CEO, Sakari Tamminen (as from 1 January 2004).
