Arrangements of Rautaruukki's management

Rautaruukki Oyj Stock Exchange Release 15 April 2003 at 11 am

Mikko Kivimäki, President and CEO of Rautaruukki Group, is to retire on 1
January 2004.

Rautaruukki's new President and CEO (as from 1 January 2004) Sakari
Tamminen will start at the company as Senior Executive Vice President and
Deputy to the President and CEO on 22 April 2003. From that date he will
be responsible for the operational management of the Group.

Rautaruukki Group's business divisions - Rautaruukki Steel, Metform,
Steel Structure Division, Steel Service and Fundia AB - will report to
Sakari Tamminen.

Seppo Sahlman, CFO, and Peter Sandvik, Executive Vice President,
responsible for Research and Development, will report to Sakari Tamminen.
Other Executives and Senior Vice Presidents of the Group Administration
will report for the time being to Mikko Kivimäki.

Sakari Tamminen will also attend Rautaruukki Board meetings.
