New Head of Division appointments at Rautaruukki

Rautaruukki Oyj Stock Exchange Release 30 July 2003 at 9 am

The following appointments have been made as part of Rautaruukki's new
business model and organisation, and they will become effective as from
1 September 2003.

Mr Matti Arteva, 57, B.Sc. (Eng.), will be appointed Head of the Metal
Products Division, present Senior Vice President of Rautaruukki's Steel
Service.

Mr Lauri Rautala, 49, M.Sc. (Econ.), will be appointed Head of the
Building and Construction Solutions Division, present Senior Vice
President of Rautaruukki's Steel.

Mr Markku Koljonen, 52, B.Sc. (Eng.), will be appointed Head of the
Mechanical Engineering Solutions Division, present Senior Vice President
of Rautaruukki's Steel Structure Division.

Mr Olavi Huhtala, 41, B.Sc. (Eng.), will be appointed Head of the Metal
Fabrication Solutions Division, present Sales Director of Household and
Automotive SBA at Rautaruukki's Metform.

Mr Heikki Rusila, 53, M.Sc. (Eng.), will be appointed Head of the
Group's steel and rolling production, present Senior Vice President of
Rautaruukki's Metform.

Jarmo Tonteri, 51, M.Sc. (Eng., Econ.) will transfer to management tasks
in the Metal Products Division during August and is responsible for the
Fundia Wire's special project. He is at the present CEO of Fundia.

All the above-mentioned persons will report to Sakari Tamminen
(President and CEO as from 1 January 2004).

The other appointments required by the new organisation will be made
during August.
