Subsidiaries merged into Rautaruukki Corporation

Rautaruukki gave information on mergers of some its Finnish subsidiaries on 6
February 2006. On 1 August, the mergers of Etnarör Ab, Velsa Oy and PPTH
Steelmanagement Oy have been entered in the Trade Register. The assets and
liabilities of these companies have been merged into Rautaruukki Corporation.
Before the abovementioned merger the companies within the PPTH group PPTH-
Engineering Oy, PPTH-Solutions Oy and Aluplan Oy have merged to PPTH-Norden Oy
and PPTH-Norden Oy to PPTH Steelmanagement Oy.
The action will simplify the Group structure and cut fixed costs.
